I have finally done it. I have successfully conquered the rather difficult sport of apartment shopping. Finding an apartment you actually want as compared to the best option you have is basically the predicament. I mean they all have their ups and their downs, positives and negatives, benefits and disadvantages…. Apartments are a lot like women. j/k. The craigslist search ended with me finding someone on Airbnb. Check out this hilarious email I received off craigslist about a place though.
I must say, the search was interesting. After staying with my cousins for a few weeks, it was time to leave before I got too comfortable. They were cooking every night, cooking every morning, snacks during the day, I mean who would want to leave that heaven. But I need to get closer to this money so now you can find me out the heights, aka, Washington Heights. I think thats the area of Manhattan that I’m located. Outside dudes keep talking to me in spanish, and I just give them the facial expression that says “don’t try no shit” while I say, “I don’t speak spanish.” I want to learn and might try to while I’m here.
Anyways I don’t have anything super fancy but its cool for the bread I’m paying. I got a rather big private room, shared bathroom with one, and shared kitchen with one. The term is for 3 months so the race is on. Get money before the expense account runs out. I’m usually a thrill seeker/chance taker lol but this is my biggest risk yet. I’ll probably top it soon though (extreme pause).
Anyways here’s a lil pic of one of the biggest investments I’ve made to date. An investment in myself. Lets hope I don’t ef this up. [insert teeth showing emoji]
